Noticeboard: May 2016

Once a year, every year there comes an event so disruptive that it threatens the flow of new updates from The Pop Culture Studio.

I’m speaking, of course, of my annual trip home to Australia, which this year happens to fall in May.

What this means is that I’ll upload as many posts as I can this month, whenever I’m not spending time with my family and friends or sitting on a flight so long it does the unthinkable and makes me want to stop watching movies.

I should say right here and now that if there is a drop off in the number of posts in May, it’s not for want of planning.

In addition to two new additions to the Captain America and X-Men film franchises which are just begging to be put under the microscope, there’s also plenty of other movies, comics and TV shows out there to fuel my usual rants and ravings this month (the first of which is already live on the site).

Already, I’ve received a review copy of the first volume of indie comic Flutter from that book’s creative team (many thanks to them for hooking me up!), so it’s fair to say that I’ll be lucky to get much of holiday in at all, at this rate!

That’s a wrap for the May Noticeboard – if you’ve got something you want to add, let me know in the comments below, or on Twitter or Facebook!
